Waiting for summer can be excruciating, especially after a brutal winter. But there's one place you don't need the sun to shine bright to enjoy an afternoon of swimming: the pool. There is something so elegant about an old-school indoor pool; it immediately brings to mind French New Wave films—swimming to calm your mind, to figure out the meaning of life (and ok, because it's really good exercise). Channeling those vibes will inevitably bring you to the classic one-piece swimsuit, or maillot as they say in Le France. Recently forgotten in favor of increasingly trendy ways to show as much skin as possible, the maillot is back, proving that there's still plenty of sex appeal and allure in a bit of modesty. In 2013, French Vogue editor Emmanuelle Alt told Voguethat Hedi Slimane belonged in Los Angeles. “It’s much more his world…Freedom, skateboarders, the beach. If you’re that interested in music, Paris is not the right city for you.” Sure it has all that—but also a wealth of hot celebrity spawn.

The designer bought a home there in 2009, and he’s been designing Saint Laurent from Southern California since 2011, showing his collections in Paris. This weekend, his latest menswear show was signature Slimane: A host of young, unknown models who looked like they might have been picked up at the local skate park showed off babydoll dresses, chokers, palm trees, tie-dye, grungy hair, and one Kurt Cobain reference after another.

Three of those models stem from Hollywood royalty. Slimane cast the sons of Pierce Brosnan, Gary Oldman, and Val Kilmer in his show. Pierce told the AP that Slimane “just discovered him at a juice bar coffee shop in Malibu,” and mentioned he’d never modeled before, which isn’t quite true. Dylan Brosnan and Jack Kilmer were named the faces of Saint Laurent menswear last year. There’s an entire portfolio of the former, shot by Slimane, on YSL’s website. It was, however, their runway debut.

Caitlyn Jenner Wore Alexander Wang to Celebrate Gay Pride

Bruce Jenner’s biggest wish was that he would be “able to have my nail polish on long enough that it actually chips off.“ Now, after a revealing interview with Diane Sawyer and posing on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine, leaving his former self behind and officially — and publicly — becoming Caitlyn, Jenner can get a gel manicure and wear dresses and skirts to match. 

At New York City’s PH-D Lounge at the Dream Downtown Hotel, the 65-year-old attended a party for gay pride. She made a surprise entrance on Sunday wearing a belted white T-shirt with camisole underneath, paired with a pencil skirt. Her hair was down, styled in loose waves, her lip gloss was popping, and she wore simple accessories including a bracelet, long chain necklace, and earrings. 

While Jenner used to have to hide her predilection for wearing dresses over golf pants, she’s now embracing fashion to its fullest. In the magazine spread, she posed in designer pieces from Donna Karan, Badgley Mischka, Zac Posen,Hervé Leger, and even Agent Provocateur. While stylist Jessica Diehl had to shop undercover for the shoot, not informing designers of their credits in the editorial (very rare, done for the sake of secrecy), now fashion houses are excited by the chance to outfit the athlete. 

On Monday, Alexander Wang’s official Instagram account revealed that Jenner was wearing the Circular Hole Jacquard Midi Skirt from the T by Alexander Wang Spring 2015 collection (you can have it too for $195). While not a gift from Mr. Wang himself, the designer embraced the celebrity on Instagram—and that’s what counts. Soon enough, like his famous daughters and really cute granddaughter, the Olivier Rousteings and Riccardo Tiscis of the world will be sending custom pieces to her Malibu doorstep. That’ll be the day — and we can’t wait to see it!

New Promo For 'I Am Cait' Released

A new promo for Caitlyn Jenner's upcoming E! docuseries, I Am Cait has just been released and is showing more glimpses of what the show will be covering. As music plays, Jenner narrates, "I'm telling my story. People don't understand looking into the mirror and nothing seems right, putting on clothes that you just don't identify with. This is about getting to be who you really are." I Am Cait premieres on July 26 at 9pm Eastern on E!
